Language Arts -
- Spelling Test # 2 will be on Friday morning
- Words came home last Friday
- Oral presentation of their "DOJO" monsters on Monday and Tuesday
- Literacy Centres continue- please make sure your child has his/her reading book on their "Read with Teacher" day
- We will continue reading "Charlotte's Web" in class, using adjectives and the superlative to describe and compare the main characters
Maths - - Number Operations: Continued use of "Le jogging de maths," "Nombre du jour" as well as time in the Computer Lab exploring some new sites
- Counting by groups of 5; multiplications facts: x5 (grade 3 exploration)
- Students will continue to use objects, tables and the 100 grid to explore Patterns & Relations. (Finish quiz on Monday, please sign it when it makes its way home)
- Gr. 4s- The "Math Problem of the Week" is due Thursday.
Science- - Last week, we only got as far as writing the factors that describe all living species. This week, we will be doing a class research project on OWLS.
Social Studies:
Visual Arts & Dramatic Arts:
Health & Career (Goal setting) - we will be looking at finding balance in our school and home life making a pie chart of our daily life
--> Organizational skills & being ready to work will be our main focus this week.

+++ Friday- Halloween Assembly in the Gym (AM) & Intermediate Dance (PM)
Costumes are encouraged on Friday, no masks or weapons please

- locating the continents and countries on a map as well as oceans ( grade 4)
- locating the provinces of Canada on a map and its oceans ( grade 3)

- complete an art project inspired by Bresilian artist Romero Britto
- study of lines and colour
- Young People's Concert on Wednesday
